Tom is fast becoming an author who
is being discovered much like the very famous artist Grandma Moses of
Vermont. He has thirteen grand children and two
great grandchild. He is not a household name, but that is changing.
All of Tom Craighead’s books are up close

This work is a history of Skydiving from the beginning to present day skydiving activities.
Tom is an original American skydiver being one of the first ten skydivers in America. One of Tom’s early cohorts suggested that if the history of skydiving is not written down, and when the originals ‘check out’, the history will never be known. Not anymore.
Tom spent three years writing down history as he lived it, then traveled the country to many parachute centers (Drop Zones … DZ’s) learning about modern day skydiving, and marveling at the advancement the sport has achieved since skydiving began (in America 1955). This book is a history combined with the excitement of today as skydivers ‘fly with their pants on fire’ through the skies of America. $19.95

These boots were given to me because I helped a father find his son a good skydiving instructor. He wanted to give me something and suggested cowboy boots with my book cover on them. His daughter owns Rocketbuster Boots USA in El Paso. I went down to El Paso to get my feet measured just like the movie stars and folks with big bucks who normally buy the Rocketbuster brand. And yes, I am very thankful for them. By looking at the cover of my book, you will appreciate the intricate work than went into these boots. The best part, they fit perfectly! As you can see in the close-up, the flames come off the skydiver and wrap around the top of the boot. Even though a picture says a thousand words, this picture does not do justice to the fine work on these high-quality boots.
